Stay-Off

Stray remotes can turn a heater on: a neighbour's fob at a campsite, an RF thermostat, someone at the panel. Stay-Off (Pro) keeps a heater off.

• Turn it on for a heater. Whenever anything turns the heater on, the app stops it again, every time.
• Check every: while the phone sleeps, it looks this often (1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes). While the phone is awake, it acts at once.
• It only ever stops the heater. A heater that is already cooling down is left alone.
• Every stop is a notification. If it keeps happening (3 times in an hour), the app tells you so loudly.
• While Stay-Off is on, King Thermostat, timers and Heat Schedules can't start the heater, and the app's own Start asks to turn Stay-Off off first.

If someone keeps turning your heater on with a remote and your heater has a Remote signal, turning it off under Settings Guard blocks every RF remote.

Stay-Off works while this phone is connected to the heater, so keep the phone nearby, ideally on its charger.
