These terms

These terms cover the Diesel Heater King app and this website. By using them you agree to these terms.

Safety first

A diesel heater burns fuel. Install and use yours as its maker's manual says: route the exhaust outside, keep a working CO alarm installed, never cut power while the heater is cooling down, and stay within Bluetooth range when you control it. The app is a remote for your heater; it does not make an unsafe installation safe.

At your own risk

You use Diesel Heater King at your own risk. It is a remote control for a heater that you own and are responsible for: its installation, condition, fuel, exhaust, ventilation and maintenance, and every decision to run it. We don't make, sell, install or repair heaters, and we can't see your heater, how it is installed or the space it heats.

Diesel heaters break down for many reasons that have nothing to do with an app: wear, fuel or air problems, glow plug, pump or wiring faults, poor installation, weak batteries, and faults in the heater's own electronics or Bluetooth board. Apart from reading its status, the app only sends a heater the commands you give it, or that features you leave on (such as King Thermostat, Timers or CO Guard) send for you, through the heater's own Bluetooth controls. We are not responsible for the condition of your heater or for any fault, failure or damage it develops, whether or not the app was connected at the time, and we don't diagnose, repair, replace or pay for heaters.

King Thermostat, Timers, Heat Schedules and other automations start and stop your heater by themselves, and they can fail or act late. When your phone sleeps, restricts the app, loses Bluetooth or runs out of battery, or when the heater doesn't answer, a heater can keep running, stop, or fail to start. Use them only when and where it is safe for your heater to run without you watching it.

CO Guard

CO Guard is not a certified CO alarm. It only works for heaters with a CO sensor, while this phone is connected and nearby. Always keep a working CO alarm installed.

Readings are a guide

Readings come from your heater's own sensors, your phone and Bluetooth thermometers, and some are estimates (marked est.). Use them as a guide, not a measurement you rely on for safety.

Beta

Features marked Beta, such as Bluetooth thermometers, may not work with every model.

Not affiliated

Diesel Heater King is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any heater or thermometer maker. Product names belong to their owners and are used only to say what the app works with.

No warranty

The app, its automations and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, as far as the law allows. We don't promise that the app works with your heater, stays connected, reads every value correctly, sends every notification or is free of errors.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the app or this website, or from being unable to use them. This includes damage to heaters, batteries, vehicles, boats, buildings or anything else; the cost of fuel, repairs or replacements; lost time or income; and any indirect or consequential loss.

Where the law doesn't allow our liability to be excluded, it is limited to the greater of what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim and US$10. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law says can't be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you're a consumer, the law where you live may give you rights that these terms can't take away.

Pro

Pro paid by card is a yearly subscription: US$10 a year, tax included, with a 7-day free trial once per phone. It renews each year at the same price until you cancel.

Link, Stripe's payment service, sells Pro by card: it takes the payment, sends your receipts, and lets you cancel or ask for a refund. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro keeps working until the end of the year you paid for. The free trial comes only with this card subscription.

A subscription, a gift or a year paid with USDC is Pro on one phone at a time. You can move it to another phone twice in any 365 days.

A gift is one year of Pro on one phone, from the day it's first used. It's paid once and never renews.

Pro, gifts and added years paid with USDC on Solana are sold by Diesel Heater King. Each year or gift bought is one year of Pro on one key, starting the day Pro is first switched on. A year added to a key follows on from its current year, or starts on the day of payment if that year is already over. USDC purchases have no free trial and don't renew. All USDC payments, tips included, are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Pay the exact amount shown from a wallet app: a payment sent from an exchange, or one that falls short, may not be matched to an order.

Tips are optional and unlock nothing.

If Pro ends, its features switch off and nothing is sent to your heater. The free app keeps working.

Creator codes

A creator code typed when buying Pro on this website earns its creator 10% of the price of each year of Pro bought with it, as listed on this website, paid in USDC: a subscription's first paid year, each gift, and each year paid with USDC. It doesn't change your price. Renewals, refunds, disputes, voided orders and free trials that end without a payment earn nothing.

Creators are paid once a month in USDC on Solana, to the wallet they give us: a month's sales are paid 30 days after it ends, leaving out any refunded, disputed or voided by then. A payment sent to that wallet is final. They are responsible for their own taxes. They must describe the app honestly, and never say it makes a heater safe or takes the place of a CO alarm.

We may end a code at any time. An ended code earns nothing more, and what it hasn't been paid yet is paid only if it kept to these terms.

When these terms change, this page shows the new version and its date.
