Privacy

• No location permission, no account and no sign-up.
• No ads, no analytics and no tracking.
• What the app records (readings, run history and settings) stays on this phone, and Android's cloud backup is off for it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
• Diagnostics and recordings for support leave the phone only if you send them yourself.

What goes online

The app talks to your heater over Bluetooth only. It goes online for two things, both to dieselheater.app:

• Pro: when you enter a key, and about once a month to renew it. It sends your Pro key, a one-way code made from your phone and the app's version.
• Check for updates: once a day it reads a small file that names the newest version. It sends nothing about you, and you can turn it off in Settings.

Nothing about your heaters ever goes online: no readings, settings, history, diagnostics or Bluetooth addresses. See Pro.

Bluetooth scanning is declared to Android as never used for location.
