Pro

Pro adds everything beyond keeping your heater connected, Start and Stop, its status and CO Guard: King Thermostat, Timers, Heat Schedules, the Heat Graph, Settings Guard, Stay-Off and more. It's a yearly subscription: 7 days free, then US$10 a year, tax included.

Start your free trial

  1. On the phone that has the app, open More, tap Pro, then Start my free trial.
  2. Pay on dieselheater.app, in your phone's browser. Link, Stripe's payment service, sells Pro and takes the payment.
  3. The thanks page opens the app, and Pro switches on by itself.

The free trial is once per phone. Cancel before the 7 days are up and you pay nothing; the app reminds you 2 days before the trial ends.

Pay with USDC

  1. Open More, tap Pro, then Pay a year with USDC.
  2. On dieselheater.app, tap Open in wallet and pay from a wallet app that holds USDC on Solana.
  3. When the payment arrives, the page shows your Pro key and opens the app, and Pro switches on.

A year paid with USDC has no free trial and doesn't renew. When it's nearly over, tap Add a year on the Pro screen: the same key keeps working for another year.

Your Pro key

A purchase or a gift comes with a Pro key: a long line of text that starts with DHK1. The Pro screen shows it under Your Pro key, with a copy button. Keep it somewhere safe: it brings Pro back after a reinstall or on a new phone.

Enter a key

  1. Open More, tap Pro, then Enter a key.
  2. Paste the key, or the whole message or link it came in.
  3. Tap Use this key. The app checks it with the website, and Pro switches on.

Move Pro to a new phone

Pro works on one phone at a time. On the new phone, enter your key: the app says it's in use on another phone and offers Move Pro here. Pro can move twice in any 365 days. The old phone's Pro stops at its next check.

Cancel or change the card

Tap Manage subscription on the Pro screen. It opens Link's page (app.link.com), where you change the card or cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro keeps working until the end of the year you paid for.

Give Pro

Give Pro (on the Pro screen) buys one-year gifts on the website, 1 to 10 at a time, as links to send. A gift is a year of Pro on one phone, from the day it's first used there. It's paid once and never renews, and the app reminds that phone a week before the year ends.

A Tip is optional and unlocks nothing.

What goes online

The app goes online for two things only, both to dieselheater.app:

  • Pro. When you enter a key, and about once a month to renew it, the app sends your Pro key, a one-way code made from your phone (it can't be turned back into anything about you) and the app's version.
  • Updates. Once a day it reads a small file that names the newest version, and sends nothing about you. Turn it off in Settings with Check for updates. The app never installs anything itself: a newer version shows in More, with a link to its page.

Nothing about your heaters ever goes online: no readings, settings, history, diagnostics or Bluetooth addresses. See Privacy.

No signal

Pro works without the internet between checks. What the website gave this phone lasts up to 60 days, and the app asks again about once a month, more often near the end. A few weeks with no signal cost nothing. After 60 days without a check, Pro switches off until the phone is online again.

If Pro ends

King Thermostat, the timers, Heat Schedules and the other automations switch off, and the app says so. Nothing is sent to your heater: it keeps running, or stays off, as it was. The free app keeps working.
