Troubleshooting
The heater isn't found
- Make sure the heater has power. Its Bluetooth only runs while it's powered.
- Close other heater apps, on this phone and on phones nearby. A heater talks to one phone at a time.
- Move closer, ideally within a few metres.
- Turn Bluetooth off and on again.
"Isn't supported yet" or "didn't answer"
Tap Copy details for support and paste them into the support form at dieselheater.app/support. They show how the heater presents itself over Bluetooth, which is what's needed to add it. They never include its PIN or its full Bluetooth address.
It connects, then drops
See Always Connected. Battery settings that stop background apps are the usual cause.
"Changed outside the app"
Something other than this app changed the heater: its panel, a remote, a thermostat or another app. History shows what changed, and Settings Guard can watch for it.
"The heater didn't confirm the change"
The heater didn't show the change in time. The app never resends on its own. Check the heater, then try again.
Warnings about the heater itself (Pro)
The app watches the heater's own readings and tells you when something looks wrong. It never changes anything on the heater because of them.
- A fault: the heater reports an error code. The alert gives the likely cause; tap the fault on the Heater tab for what to check.
- The flame looks weak: at full power (Power Level 10) a good burn holds the heater body above 200 °C (392 °F) for most heaters. If it's still under that after 8 minutes at full power, the flame is weak. Fuel left in the burner, air in the fuel line or a clogged filter are the usual causes. Stop it, let it cool down, and check before running it again. Lower Power Levels aren't judged: heaters vary too much there.
- The start didn't finish: a start that failed, or was stopped before the flame, can leave fuel in the burner, and the next start may smoke. Let the next run go a good while at full power. After two in a row, don't keep retrying: check the fuel line and the glow plug first.
Temperature units
Settings → Display → Temperature switches between °C and °F. Setpoints are always changed in the heater's own unit, so they match its panel.
Getting help
More → Settings → Diagnostics makes a report for support: tap Copy report and paste it into the support form at dieselheater.app/support. It never includes your heater's PIN or full Bluetooth address, and it only leaves this phone if you send it. If the app reads your heater wrong, Record for support records what it says while you use its panel.
Same help as in the app (More → How to use).
