Power Level and Heater Thermostat

Your heater can run two ways on its own:

  • Power Level (1–10): a fixed output. 10 gives the most heat.
  • Heater Thermostat: the heater holds a temperature with its own sensor, turning its output up and down.

With Pro you can change both from the app. Use − and +: the app sends the new value once you stop tapping, then checks that the heater took it.

Switching between them

Switching between Power Level and Heater Thermostat is always its own confirmed step. Changing a number never switches the mode.

While the heater is off

On heaters where the app has checked it, you can set the Power Level and the mode while the heater is off; they're used at the next start. The app tells you when your heater can't.

Running on a low Power Level

Diesel heaters burn best when they're hot. Many owners:

  • start at full power for a few minutes, then turn down to the level they want;
  • avoid long runs on the lowest levels;
  • finish at full power for a while before the heater stops.

Smart Start (Pro) does the first and the last for runs the app starts, and Cleaning Cycle (Pro) adds the full-power finish after long runs on low. If the heater chugs when it starts, smokes, or doesn't get as hot as usual, see Troubleshooting. Your heater's manual may have its own advice.

King Thermostat is different

King Thermostat is the app's own thermostat, not the heater's.
